ASLI is the professional association and support network for British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters in the UK.

I am a member of ASLI because I support their aims to encourage good practice in Sign Language Interpreters and to support fellow professionals within this field of work. ASLI also provides me with Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII).

ASLI Regional Representative

Whilst I am a full member of ASLI, I am also the ASLI rep for the Devon and Cornwall region of interpreters. As part of this role I regularly collect the views from members on local issues to help shape and guide my decision making within the region. It also involves organising events in Devon and Cornwall to help better inform both deaf and hearing people about the interpreting profession.
